Yaowarat Road runs about 1.5 kilometres through the heart of Sampheng-Chinatown, from the Odeon Circle and China Gate at the west end to the Wat Traimit area at the east. From the east end, near Wat Traimit or Hua Lamphong, you can hop one MRT stop to Wat Mangkon and walk from there.

We open at 8am because Chinatown moves on a different clock than Sukhumvit. Morning food crawlers, dim sum runs, monk processions, and tourists heading for the Grand Palace all start early here. The midnight close covers the late-night Yaowarat food scene, when the strip is at its busiest.

If you're combining Yaowarat with the historic district, Wat Pho is fifteen minutes west on foot or a short tuk-tuk; the Grand Palace is twenty minutes; the Reclining Buddha and the river ferry to Wat Arun are both within easy reach.
