Thailand moves to re-criminalise cannabis in blow to $1bn industry

Thailand has made the recreational use of cannabis illegal again. The substance was taken off the list of controlled narcotics in 2022. Now the governing Pheu Thai party blames cannabis for creating serious social problems. But it will be hard to shut down the billion-dollar marijuana industry that grew in the last three years.
